IDSA Designed In Cleveland Event

This past week we attended (and sponsored) the IDSA Cleveland chapter’s “Designed in Cleveland” event hosted by our friends at Smartshape in downtown Cleveland. The event highlights the robust industrial design community in northeast Ohio. The Neon Carrot team set up a table to feature our brand and services to attendees.

We had about an hour of casual conversation, food and drink to start off the evening. It was nice to visit the other tables, and catch up with old and new design friends alike from organizations such as the Cleveland Institute of Art, and Little Tikes.

The second half of the evening featured brief ten minute presentations that nicely gave insight into local designers and design companies including Cardboard Helicopter, Smartshape, iDesign, and Stanley Black & Decker. Seeing how design is being leveraged to invent new products, solve safety issues, keep food fresh, and reinvent how we work.

Cleveland has many great designers working for brands, companies, and agencies. I came away from this event feeling inspired and energized. The strength of our design community means that Neon Carrot and all the other design teams in our area will have limitless success because of our perspective, experience, and creative talent. It’s really an exciting time to be a designer in Cleveland.

We wrapped up the night with a beer at Noble Beast Brewery. I’d never been there before. The interior was really neat - down to earth and warm…inviting. And there was a great smell of wood fire or smokey food that was perfect on a very cold winter night.
